1. Tinie Tempah was born Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu, Jr in London on 7 November, 1988.

2. He got his stage name after looking up ‘Anger’ in the thesaurus. He thought Temper sounded too aggressive, so added ‘Tinie’.

3. He lived in a housing estate in South East London until he was 12 with his parents and three younger siblings.

4. In 2006 his song Wifey became an underground hit after its success on TV channel, Channel U, where it stayed at number one on the Urban Chart for 10 weeks.

5. His debut single, Pass Out, entered the UK Singles Chart at number one in February 2010, selling over 92,000 copies. His third single, Written in the Stars, also entered the chart at number one.

6. His debut album, Disc-Overy, was released in October 2010, topping the UK Album Chart after selling 85,000 copies in its first week.

7. He has toured with Rihanna and Usher, as well as performing on stage at Glastonbury with Snoop Dogg.

8. Besides his four Brit Award nominations, he won two MOBOs in 2010; best newcomer and best video for his song Frisky.

9. Tinie Tempah is launching his own fashion line, Disturbing London, and will be designing some of the clothes himself.

10. Written in the stars is due to be the theme song for WWE Wrestlemania XXVII
